My Beloved Angee,

We arrived here safely this morning about 7 and by 9 had passed quarantine and customs regulations and I was soon in my old quarters once more. Remembering past experiences I would not change my clothing and soon called at our Depot to talk over business matters. I was glad to find them encouraged and hopeful about the business. There is no regular mail boat out tomorrow – vessel was wanted to carry troops to the Cape, so this will not reach you so quickly as the steamer going tomorrow is a slow boat – trust the cable arrived all right it was sent at about 6.30 this morning and should have been delivered about dinner time – God our Father bless you my dearest Angee and with much love believe me ever.

Your very affectionate Husband
