My Beloved Angee,
I dare say you will remember the above heading as I have halted here before and a very comfortable hotel it is. Arrived here on Saturday last soon after 7 – reports of the deep snow which had recently fallen had reached New York so that it was no surprise to see a white land on arrival. It was not however cold but the roads were in and continue to be in a terrible condition, making one very careful in even stepping from a carriage.
Was glad to see the dear brethren again and received many hearty greetings after the morning meeting. For once I had the pleasure of listening to another but did not expect to do much so soon after my last visit.
Am expecting your usual letter in the morning but I must post this tonight to make sure of going by the Wednesday's mail from New York – the boots has just come for my letter so I must close.
God bless you my beloved wife with every mercy and with much love to you and all our dear ones believe me.
Being very affectionate Husband
