My Beloved Angee,
Arrived here about 10.30 this morning and it is certainly the best place I have ever been in Ireland – the day is fine and the scenery from the room I occupy is very grand – the broad Atlantic all around with fine rocky headlands – only wish you were here to share the comforts with me. The town of Coleraine which I have just left is a nice clean prosperous town and the hotel is very good and I got the best night's rest last night that I have had in Ireland – took 3 orders there yesterday afternoon after writing you.
Your letter with enclosure from Mrs Shapland sent to Belfast – was here on my arrival having been redirected and your later despatch came in by the same train which brought me. Thankful always when I read them to find you are well and able to get out for a nice walk.
There is post out early this afternoon so thought I would drop you a line so that you might receive it on Monday morning. Hope dear Harry will benefit by the little rest and nursing and that his voice will recover – it has been a dreadful time of it as far as rain is concerned nearly all the time I have been in Ireland but it is November and we cannot expect anything else. I must write the dear children later in the day and this morning brought me a nice letter from Mildred also is better and goes to school again on Monday – I wrote Arundel a day or two since telling him that he certainly told me that the lease of 70 High Street was with Seldon – Mr Besley is away for his holiday and on his return the deputy manager informs me that he will look and see if it is among any of their papers.
Trust you may have a day of rest tomorrow and quietness – these are necessary and good for us both for mind and body – it is when we weigh over and meditate upon all the bounties of the goodness of God to us our hearts are constrained to say or to sing "O what a debt I owe to Him who shed His blood".
