My Beloved Angee,
I am leaving this morning by a steamer calling at some of the Corean[sic] ports Chefoo and Tisen Tsui and not being sure that I shall be in time to get a letter from any of these for the next week's mail I drop this note so that you may have a line from me. All the merchants here (3) have given me nice orders and so I get encouragement and pass on. Through mercy am in good health and sincerely trust you may be enjoying like mercies by the time this reaches you.
