I wrote you by a special mail leaving here last Friday and I find there is another today, so thought I would just drop a line by way of comforting your heart with the little that is in my power in this way - spent a very happy day here yesterday Lord's day - dined and supped with Mr. & Mrs. Winter - we had a very blessed morning meeting - in the afternoon I addressed a lot of children and felt very happy in the work and our room was filled in the evening for the gospel - the Lord giving us a real time - Mrs. Buchanan late of Newton Abbott came to the  preaching and I had a long chat with her afterward - she is not in fellowship with us but is I think exercised - the saints here are very bright and their kindness to me is unbounded.

Tomorrow D.V I leave by the regular coasting steamer for Dunedin. Have done a splendid business again here and just sent off the order - my customer is a biscuit manufacturer and a bro. in fellowship who I have no doubt will do well with the higher class of goods - am thinking I may go direct to Melbourne from Dunedin without calling at Hobart as I am anxious to get letters - I may run over there after visiting Melbourne. Was greatly cheered last Saturday to get a call from one of those youths called Nicholson from Newton Abbott who came out here a few years ago and P.F. Co. gave them a nice letter of introduction - he heard in a very singular way of my being here and was very glad to see me - he lives about 3 miles in the country and came in to the preaching last night. On enquiring for his brother I was surprised and grieved to hear of his death about 12 months ago but trusting in Christ and very happy - dear lad I felt much drawn to that one before he left England. Trust you are keeping in good health with all our beloved ones and again with much love to you my dearest Angee and dear Arundel and Harry, Harriett and Emma and all the darling children and loving friends believe me once more.

March 7th - 7.30 am

The Lord gave us a blessed time together last night - regular feast to the Lord, at the house of a dear brother. Many who had received blessing were present and some desiring to take their place at the Lord's table. It was Acts XX over again and I shall not soon forget all their love and their prayers for my good. Now going to the ship - God bless you and comfort you my dearly beloved wife.
